Nelson Bay

Well hello there! So whilst I was away Gav snuck on and painted this glorious picture of himself as the fearless spider killer..... if only you had been here to see his reaction. However, he did kill the thing so I can't take that away from him, even if he was yelping!

Another glorious day here in Sydney, clear blue skies not a cloud in sight and roughly around 24 degrees! Bliss!

We thought you might like to see a couple of photo's from our trip to Nelson Bay so here you are:

Gav and I are both working now, which is great. Gav is labouring away and he is enjoying being outside and working on his tan. He promises me he will wear suncream but I have yet to find any evidence of this as the suncream bottle is still lying in our draw. I am working at a gourmet sandwich shop which is very different but I am enjoying it. It is basically a bar with lots of different fillings and breads and customers come and tell me what they want on their sandwich and I make it for them infront of them. Lin is letting me use her bike to cycle to work and it takes about 15/20 mins. The past few days this magpie has been swooping down to try and get my hair and it is really annoying and quite scary! Apparently that is common here and so I need to work out a way of keeping all my hair under my helmet.

This weekend we are going to take a boat to Manly which is a big surfing place and it looks really beautiful.

Hi Jess - I think all Maddy's pals are living in Manly right now. Maddy is living with a friend from her Chocolate Soup days across the bay so she is planning to use the ferry to go across and visit them all. She is off to Canberra next weekend and then to Melbourne. I love the photo of you both on Nelson bay. Penny x

Hey Gav and Jess

You know we're slow and old (Jess is older remember) but finally, at long last, we have got down to blogging you. What a laugh your tales and photo's. Quite jealous and all. Gav, Oh Gav the tan!!! Makes me remember I haven't always been a white man! Loved the Christmas in shorts pick...Jess, my Jess said you looked really nice in the Father Christmas suit...but then she has lost her glasses and I remind you, she is 52and older than me. We gassed ourselves about the wee bite-y things...could it be that the Lord sent you to Aus to kill that spider before it bit the next Aus prime minister who has only just been born. Who knows the impact that spider may have had on our future. Gee thanks Gav! Purweebeastie. Check out Gav with the snook...almost as big as our Nyoka. And Jess, please send some of your Christmas Cake...I love it and I would have shared Gav's stash from under the bed had I been around.

Love hearing your delight in all your discoveries. You guys are the best. Wish we were with you. Josh said it - we haven't seen Gav and Jess for soooo long. When are they coming. We miss you very much.

Do tell us how to pray. We've been very good...very overthetop busy but then wot's new? In awe that you remembered our birthday's. Happy Birthday to you Gav, belated but heartfelt. Presently 3 or 4 inches of snow outside. Have been told to expect -12C. It's beautiful out there! Say hi to New Zealand. Hey what about church over there?

All our love

Brian and Jess, Kelly and Josh
